The concepts\r\nintroduced about aging which will be used in understanding what this specific life stages means - primarily as a\r\nmacro- concept. Its Emphasis is on the foundations of healthy aging, fundamentals of caring, coping with chronic\r\ndisorders in late life as well as caring for older adults and their caregivers. Content also includes the developmental,\r\nphysiological, and psychological changes of the older adult regarding health promotion, maintenance, and restoration.\r\nComprehensive Geriatric Assessment, decision-making, appropriate nursing interventions and dimensions of quality\r\nhealth care and quality standards for Health Provider Organizations. The course may include cases with Chronic\r\nillnesses like dealing with pain and comfort, diseases affecting vision and hearing, metabolic disorders, bone and joint\r\nproblems, cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, neurologic, cognitive impairment, mental health, and multisystem\r\nalterations affecting the older person. The course will emphasize the application of knowledge, skills, and attitudes\r\nwithin a legal and ethical framework thus the learners are expected to perform holistic nursing care of the older\r\npersons in wellness and chronic illness utilizing the nursing process."}
